About Keeley Mosley

I have been playing basketball since I could remember, but in all actuality, my mom says it was when I was 5. I love everything about the game. I love The skill it requires. I love the IQ it requires. I love the relationships with coaches, trainers, and teammates that I will forever cherish, but probably most importantly, I love the passion that drives me to improve my game every day!

From the minute I was the only 6th-grade starter on my middle school basketball team, I have strived to be the best on and off the court. My goal to be a collegiate basketball player has pushed me to be as coachable as possible and sponge-like when coaches and trainers are working with me. I hope to take that humility and dedication into my professional life after college and basketball.

I have worked diligently over the years not only to improve my shooting percentage but also to increase my court vision, my overall game IQ, my ball-handling skills, and my defensive game. I want coaches to look at me and think, “She’s the toughest player out there!” I want coaches to recognize my leadership skills on and off the court. I demonstrate these leadership skills by assisting in coaching and ball-handling drills with my coaches. I also demonstrate leadership skills by leading my team as our PG, which is much more than your position on the court. It’s about communicating with your team, being able to position your teammates in the best possible position to make the shots, and adjusting accordingly when necessary.

I continually work on my game, physically and mentally, by participating in showcases I have been invited to, playing AAU in the off-season, and constantly pushing myself to train hard and purposefully with my various trainers.

I am particularly proud of myself for earning the acknowledgment of all-conference Player of the Season for the 22-23 and 23–24 seasons. This is a rare honor for a player to achieve two years in a row, and at the moment, I did not recognize how my hard work had paid off, but looking back, I do now.

Academically, I strive to be the best and maintain a high GPA. I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society in 2024. Being a member of the NJHS requires a high GPA, excellent references from teachers based on behavior and leadership skills, and volunteer hours within the community.

I would love to go to a college where I can be an integral part of the team and continue to grow as a leader in the sport. I want a college that will align with my academic and athletic goals, but ultimately, I want to make my family proud no matter what school I attend.

There are so many quotes that have spoken to me, but this one from Kobe is something that truly speaks to me: "Those times when you stay up late, and you work hard; those times when don’t feel like working — you’re too tired, you don’t want to push yourself — but you do it anyway. That is actually the dream. That’s the dream. It’s not the destination; it’s the journey. And if you guys can understand that, what you’ll see happen is that you won’t accomplish your dreams, your dreams won’t come true, something greater will."
